RadiusCX Auto Clutch | We Test It 1st at the Idaho City 100

I am really excited to be testing this new technology on the Project YZ450FX that Rekluse has been building on social media. The weekend of June 2nd I’ll be flying out to Idaho for the annual Idaho City 100. This is a 2-Day, AMA sanctioned Reliability Enduro that uses FIM rules.  This race is a big deal to alot of riders & companies that pride themselves on the traditions of this epic 6 hour enduro. People from all over travel to camp, party, race & test themselves in the mountainous terrain surrounding Idaho City. You can go onto Youtube & find plenty of adventure riding videos of Idaho’s back country to see what its all about. It is one of the best kept secrets of some really epic riding & I have been dying to go. With the help of my friends at Rekluse, I’ll finally get the chance & I’ll be doing it on some of the best equipment I’ve ever had the honor of throwing a leg over. 
With that being said, besides finishing the race & returning the bike in 1 piece, testing out the new RadiusCX will be one of the highlights of my weekend. I’ll be doing a write up on what I think about this new technology & if it helped me during the race. It’ll be installed on a 2017 YZ450FX that I’ll be riding for the weekend. Even though I’ll only get to ride the bike once or twice before the race, I’m not to worried that I’ll feel uncomfortable racing someone else’s bike. You know how it is, you get off your bike,  ride a few laps on your buddy’s bike & it feels weird. Everything is foreign. The suspension feels like your riding on Pogo sticks, the levers are bent like curly fries & the grips feel like vibrating rocks. Austin at Rekluse has been super cool about helping to get the bike set up for me from the suspension to the grips of my choice so that I’ll have some of the comforts of home. I think it’ll be fine, especially since it has a Rekluse.

Either way, it’s going to be an awesome weekend hanging out with the Rekluse crew & riding their 450FX at this event. Every since I had my 1st Rekluse I’ve been a big fan of the auto clutch. I cannot own a bike without one now. I currently have the Core XP 3.0 on my 350EXC & absolutely love it for the kind of riding I do. It makes any bike easy to ride, especially a 450 with alot of power!!
