Is The Historical Husqvarna Brand Back?

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to visit Harper Cycle & Marine located in Hendersonville, NC. My reason for the visit was to purchase my WR450F (off-road project) and to take a closer look at the new Husqvarna off-road line up. I think we all can agree that KTM’s purchase of the Husky brand could have been the savior of this historical brand and image. KTM’s purchase offers Husky fresh capital, design, marketing, and the ability to anchor the Husky brand into the off-road and motocross community once again. I find it very exciting that the 2015 race season is going to be very colorful having 6 major brands being represented on the starting lines.

If you have been keeping up with all the internet talk you have seen where people are just calling the new Husky’s “White KTM’S”. Well there is a lot of truth to that at the moment but I think its KTM’s way of improving the Husky line up, design, performance, and overall company image so they can fasten the brand in the market and give dealerships reason to sell and support the new Husky brand. I truly believe we will see some separation between KTM and Husqvarna in design and features very soon so the two brands don’t compete for the same sales and market. This separation in brand will allow KTM dealers to carry Husky and offer their customers other options and models. Dealerships that carry the 4 Japanese branded bikes are already seeing the benefits of having the revived Husky brand on their showroom floors. So what do you think about the purchase of Husqvarna by KTM? Where is Husqvarna headed in the near future? Go ahead and tell me what you think about the new Husky line up in the comments area below.

If you are in the market for a new Husky Harper Cycle & Marine has the largest selection in the southeast and is only a three hour drive from Atlanta, GA. Harper also carries a full line up of Yamaha and Arctic Cat models with a full service shop and showroom.

Shame they didn’t bring the FE450 to the USA this year.
