Husqvarna News: EnduroCross

Factory Husqvarna’s Mike Brown was looking solid once again at round five of the AMA EnduroCross Championship. “Brownie” started the day off well by setting the hot lap at the Denver, Colorado venue. The hot lap not only gained him the pole position coming into the night program, but also earned him an extra championship point.

Brown had his work cut out for him in the heat race when he locked bars with another racer on the start straight and fell in the first corner. Brown put his FC 350 to work on the Denver course and remarkably made it back up to third place in the heat – enough to transfer straight into the main.

Brown once again had his hands full in the main event, and battled with the likes of Cody Webb and Taylor Robert en route to a fifth-place finish. Brown pushed to keep pressure on Webb in the early laps before settling in to fifth place. Midway through the race Mike gained some ground after Webb and Robert tangled in a corner together. Brown advanced to fourth place, but succumbed to Robert on the last lap. “The race was good,” Brown said. “It’s getting better – we’re working in the right direction. But I ain’t gonna to stop ‘til I get on the top.”
