@Maxxistires Chris Bach Placed 3rd at GNCC Steele Creek

Chris Bach made the podium at the third round of the GNCC motorcycle series, held April 7 in Morganton, North Carolina. Bach took third place in XC1 Pro in a performance which vaulted him into third in the series’ points standings as well.

After a strong start in the top five, Bach worked his way to third, repeatedly trading the position with another rider until the finish line. “The Steele Creek GNCC had ideal conditions for racing and for my Maxxcross SI combo, and it feels great to get back on the podium and reward everyone who works so hard to make this program work,” said Bach.

Two other Maxxis riders also made the XC1 Pro top ten: Rory Mead took fifth place, while Adam Bonneur earned ninth. In championship point standings, Josh Strang follows Bach in fourth place, Ricky Russell is eighth and Bonneur is tenth.

XC2 Pro Lites rider Jason Thomas turned in an excellent performance on Sunday, taking second place in his class and fifth place overall. “The race was a total blast with the perfect conditions,” said Thomas. “I really enjoyed rubbing elbows out there with some of the guys on the skinny trails while passing them! I just rode steady out there and had the others covered all day. I can’t wait for the next race so as to go do it all again and start building a lead in the championship.”

FAR Husqvarna’s Andrew Delong took fourth place in XC2. “I had a hard time finding my groove today,” Delong said. “Every time I pushed it, I was on the ground. It’s all about the big picture at the end of the year, and I got good points today.” Riders on Maxxis hold the top two spots in XC2 standings, with Delong leading the class and Thomas in second place. Fellow Maxxis rider Travis Coy finished ninth in the XC2 class and holds ninth place in XC2.

Riders on Maxxis were also outstanding in the morning race, with Jimmy Jarrett and Lucas Towery taking the top two spots in Sportsman A and overall. RPM Racing Team’s Kacy Martinez took second place in the Women’s race, and holds second place in Women’s class rankings.

Maxxis congratulates all of its riders on their outstanding performances and thanks them for choosing the brand of champions.
